GRIEVANCES
With in the union contract is the procedure to file a grievance.
This language can be complicated.

MOST IMPORTANT IF YOU DON'T KNOW ASK ONE OF THE UNION STEWARD/CHIEF STEWARDS FOR DIRECTION
When there is a violation of the collective agreement by a management you:
- Go to the manager regarding the issue or complaint, attempt to resolve the issue on your own IMPORTANT POINT IS: THAT YOU MUST GO TO THE EMPLOYER WITHIN 10 OF THE OCCURANCE
- If no resolution, contact the union a grievance must be filed within 5 buisness days after you recieve an unsatisfactory reply to the complaint.
- Once the grievance is filed the employer, employee and the union rep can request further meeting between the parties
- Each step has to be followed and replied to as per the collective agreement:
- step 1 submit within 5 days. Employer has 10 days to reply
- step 2 if not resolved submit. Employer has 10days to reply
- step 3 if not resolved submit to mediation, then to Arbitration.
